The Session...
The session takes place in your chosen environment whether that is your backyard, the park, beach, etc. Outdoor settings tend to provide the best lighting and scenery. In order to capture candid memories there are no backdrops or studio lights. Each session takes approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your session of choice.
Clothing...
Dark colors are preferable. Casual, simple and timeless clothing is best for creating natural portraits. Avoid logos, text, or busy prints. If you are interested in group shots it is helpful if you wear coordinating colors but not matching outfits. For children, it is best to have a couple of outfits on hand - one simple and one bright, colorful outfit that flatters their skin tone or eyes.
Weather...
We live in Washington and well...it can sometimes rain! Unfortunately, I can't really change the weather. If the weather is unsuitable for your session, Heather will contact you to reschedule.
Investment...
Session includes photographer talent, shooting time and editing of all images. Within 2 to 4 weeks of your session {not including weddings} you will receive your high resolution CD of all images as well as access to an online gallery of your photographs where you can order prints and gifts. The session fee is non-refundable and due in full on the day of the photo shoot.
Put Your Best Face Forward…
Add an on-site professional makeup artist to your portrait session for only $50 {$100 for an all day on location wedding}. Makeup for photography is an art and skill that most of us don't possess, so it is well worth putting yourself in good hands. Ask Heather to schedule a makeup artist for your next session!

Gift certificates are available in any amount, and make fantastic gifts for friends and family. Perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, anniversaries, weddings, etc. Give the gift of memories!
